Description: The mailroom technician implements the systems necessary to process mail within the House Post Office. The technician will function as support to the Post Office staff and will process the incoming and outgoing mail on a daily basis. The technician must incorporate new Postal requirements and/or House guidelines into the processing system.  The technician is responsible for providing accurate and timely mail service for the House of Representatives.

Salary Range: $35,000 - $40,000

Minimum Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills.  High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of U.S. Postal Regulations and the legislative process is preferred. Three years of experience in the storage, handling and distribution of materials, and in the operation of mail handling and related equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and SendSuite application. Must have the ability to lift heavy objects and operate a pallet jack.
